December Recap

Our building is in the dry! The siding, roof, doors, and windows are completed, and we are ready for the next step. Work has begun on the inside of the building. Some of the goals for January include plumbing, electrical, rough-in HVAC, and insulation. We plan to be ready for drywall in February.

Another exciting thing that happened for us in December was the donation of our school bell! This bell is a special piece of history we felt incredibly blessed to receive. Covenant Foundation College in Knightstown, Indiana, opened for students in 1968, with this bell in the belfry of the original building. My (Kimberly) granddaddy helped in the construction of the campus. So when the original building expanded into a college campus, my granddaddy was able to take the bell to his home in Mulberry, Arkansas. This was the Bible college many of my family members attended. My granddaddy is already in Heaven, but I feel that he would be so proud if he knew that the bell would once again hang over a group of young people being taught truths from God’s word!
We plan to have an event on the morning of the first day of school where friends and family can participate in the first bell ringing and flag raising! We will announce more details closer to time.
Thank you again for the support and prayers over the last several months! We can’t do this alone! We are looking forward to what 2024 brings!
